"PLAY BALL!" The Irish Way:  The Irish are a sports-loving people and one of the summer team sports they enjoy is the popular sport of their English neighbor.  Cricket is played in Ireland by people of all ages, both men and women.

Visitors to Irish Fest Camden will have an opportunity to personally experience this aspect of Irish culture by joining in short, informal, cricket games that American cricket player and teacher Tom Melville will be conducting from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday March 7th. The games will be run on a continuous walk-up basis and are open to all.  Absolutely no experience required!  So come and discover what "play ball" means to the Irish!

Tom Melville  is an American cricket player, author, and leading cricket interpreter who has been introducing cricket to Americans for over twenty years in over twenty five states.  He lives in Wisconsin.
